Why would thread close?

    I have a question, who is able to close a thread, and why would anyone do that?

    the forum mods can delete a thread if it is in the wrong section, if the question has been asked a hundred times, or if you broke one of the rules i.e. under the age of 18, talk about dealing, talk about dosage advice etc...read the forum rules to get a better idea

    You can also delete threads that you start. In the top right of the thread click 'thread tools' and if you made the thread one of them will be delete. But other than that only mods/admins can delete threads.

    The thread wasnt deleted, just closed. Maybe theres a difference????

    Can you link us to the thread or at least tell us what it was about? If it was closed and you didn't do it then a mod/admin did it.

    if it was closed, that means a mod closed it because they didnt want the thread to continue. didnt want any more ppl posting in it. if/when they delete threads there will be a little message to the right (on the forum thread list page thing) that says why they did

    if it got closed youd have to ask a mod

    Thanks for all your answers. I'm not sure who closed the thread but i this point, i dont really much care...I just wanted to know since i'm new here. Still getting a hang of things

    If your thread was closed it was because there was a reason for it to be closed, and it was a moderator who did it. :p

    If you want to know why your thread in Seasoned Tokers was closed, you should read the rules as well as the forum descriptions. :wave:
